Catering Heroes
Shout out to the finalists in the National Association of Care Catering Care Chef 2023 awards (NACC).
Regional heats were recently held across regions – Midlands, South East, Scotland, North, South West and Wales – with care chefs demonstrating that they can compete with the best when it comes to culinary skills.
The regional heat focused on the importance of food, nutrition, and positive mealtime experiences as part of quality care. Entrants challenged to create an appealing & delicious 2 course menu appropriate for people in a care setting. Combined food cost for both courses to be no more than £3.50 per head and must be nutritionally balanced.
We wish all the finalists the very best of luck for the final heat on 3rd October 2023.
