Slice, Dice, Grate, Chop & Mix
Commercial Food Processors are an extremely versatile piece of equipment in the busy catering kitchen. They can perform a plethora of jobs from shredding, grating, grinding, slicing, pulping & whipping. Different types of food processors are suited to different sets of tasks and levels of demand, depending on what you’ll be using it for and how often you’ll use it.
Types of Food Processors:
Bowl food processors are great for where you’ll be working with small to medium-size batches, and you want the convenience of containing all of your finished product. These food processors come with a range of different speed settings, bowl sizes & capacities.
Food blenders provide powerful food processing capability, ideal for the high-speed production of smoothies, soups, bar drinks, salsas, sauces, desserts & dressings.
Electric Cheese grating & shredding machines are intended for processing hard, semi-hard & semi-soft cheese. Great for Pizzerias and restaurants these machines will allow you to prepare more cheese for more meals in less time. Fama FGS107
Cutter/mixer machines are a type of food processor and do the same job, but with the added benefits of being able to mix or emulsify any product in seconds and allow you to prepare sauces, and dressings.
Veg Prep Machines are designed to reduce the amount of time you spend chopping, slicing, or dicing food. As food processors they use interchangeable discs that allow you to prepare vegetables as needed with consistent results. Veg prep machines slow the speed of the cutting disc so that the blade or cutting surface more closely approximates the action of a knife or grater. The benefits are a cleaner more consistent cut, and less bruising of fresh produce. Chefquip CQ-400
For added flexibility, and if your menu requires more than one type of prep, you may consider investing in a combination ‘combi’ machine such as the Sammic KE-4V (Food Processor/Cutter Mixer) or the Sammic CK-35V (Veg Prep/Food Processor)
