Celebration Day is a new National Day of Remembrance.  Created by the public, for the public, a day to encourage the nation to remember friends, loved ones, or those who have helped to shape our lives and are no longer with us.

The idea for the day was developed by an eclectic group of friends who were united in grief and did not want to “lose connections to our pasts”. The first Celebration Day in 2022 enjoyed endorsements from famous faces across the country. This year, as well as tree planting, memorial benches are being built for “all corners of the UK”.

The Celebration Day website says the day helps to preserve “the stories of people who have come before us, by passing them from generation to generation”.

We at Anglia Catering Equipment will be remembering our dear friend Andrew Gillham, a very generous gentle man, much missed.
