Water Softeners (Filtration)

Before you can decide what kind of Water Softener you need, you need to find out about your regional water. More than half of England has hard water – for the protection of your equipment a water softener is necessary to prolong the life of your machines.

In most food service operations, there is a lot of catering equipment that uses water, each has its particular challenges – ice makers, cooking appliances, refrigeration, hot beverage machines, warewashing.

Hardness of water can impact the taste and add scale build-up in cooking equipment and refrigeration systems. Steamers, combi ovens, or any other equipment where water comes into contact with heating elements are all highly susceptible to scale.

In unfiltered ice machines, bacteria, slime, and moulds can not only pose a health risk, but also can affect the taste and smell of ice and the beverages in which the ice is used.

We stock manual and automatic water softeners of varying capacities for use with machines not fitted with integral softeners.
